The agreement, dated April 28, 2025, encompasses 22 single-seat and 4 dual-seat aircraft, along with associated training, simulators, weaponry, and performance-based logistics support.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-media-max-width=\"560\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Today, India and France signed a mega Rs 63,000 crore deal to buy 26 Rafale Marine aircraft for the Indian Navy. This addition will truly elevate the air capabilities of the Indian Navy, offering cutting-edge features for naval operations.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Plus, the deal beautifully aligns with India\u2019s \u2018Aatmanirbhar Bharat\u2019 initiative, which aims for independence in defense production. It also includes some fantastic clauses for technology transfer, paving the way for the use of homegrown weapons and the establishment of production lines for Rafale fuselages.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It will support aircraft engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul facilities, as well as enhance sensor and weapon capabilities right here in India.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The commencement of the delivery of Rafale Marine aircraft is anticipated to begin in 2028, culminating by 2030.
