Based on a nationwide field survey of 18,000 respondents, including parents of school-going children, faculty, educators, and counsellors in 34 cities, EWISR 2026-27 rates and ranks the country\u2019s Top 4500 schools in 34 cities and 22 states across India on 14-15 parameters of educational excellence, making it the <strong>world\u2019s largest and most comprehensive<\/strong> school rankings survey.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The survey rates and ranks the country\u2019s Top 4,500 schools in 3 main and 29 sub-categories &#8212; <strong>Day:<\/strong> Co-ed, Boys and Girls, Day-cum-boarding, Vintage Coed Day, Vintage Boys, Vintage Girls, Vintage Day-cum-Boarding; Ivy League Day and Ivy League Day-cum-Boarding; <strong>Boarding:<\/strong> Co-ed, Girls and Boys, Vintage Co-ed, Vintage Girls and Vintage Boys; Ivy League Boarding schools <strong>International:<\/strong> Day, Day-cum-boarding and fully Residential; Vintage International Residential; Ivy League Day and Ivy League Day-cum-Boarding. It also rates and ranks India\u2019s best <strong>Government<\/strong> Day and Boarding schools, <strong>Special Needs<\/strong><strong>, Budget Private<\/strong> and <strong>Philanthropy Schools<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last year (2025), responding to feedback from stakeholders and expert advice from international education researchers, <em>EducationWorld<\/em> introduced a new <strong>\u2018Ivy League\u2019<\/strong> category to celebrate the <strong>\u201cbest of the best\u201d<\/strong> schools that have consistently dominated <em>EW<\/em> rankings across critical parameters of excellence such as teacher competence, academic reputation, co-curricular, sports education, etc., over the years. To conduct interviews with sample respondents, we gave them the option of face-to-face, telephonic and online link, and to control unfair push by any school or its support system only one response has been accepted per selected respondent. Any res<\/em><em>ponse suspected of trying to influence results in favour of any school has been rejected.
